Today started off ok but things went wrong ... my extenda box system went belly up which meant 3 computers out -then one of my other computers developed a fault. Oi vey!
May be lucky to get the extenda box fixed but will have to fix the other myself.

Really! In the past two days I've watched 2 movies where the protaganist is a woman with munchausen's disease.
"The Night Listener" & "Glass House - The Good Mother"
Not up to "Independence Day" right now - will watch that tomorrow even if it's 2 days late (seems to have become family tradition to watch it in July 4th)

I'm writing this as I fly over some point of the pacific - approaching pago pago if the inboard map is correct. It's 5:05 hours and 4515km till we arrive in sydney. Unfortunately I'm still on mountain time which means that it's 2:31 in Sydney, 4:31 in new Zealand and 8:31 in Missoula.
Luxury travel has some great perks. My den-sfo flight was first class. All 8 of us. From the free drinks to the 'snack' provided to the hot towel on arrival!
I basically arrived at the gate for my Sydney flight as it was boarding. Top deck business class. I ended up in 13A instead of the J seat. The new business class seats are in pods of 2 alternating facing forward and backward. 13 a&b are backward. There are no problems with stowage - the a and k seats have side stowage bins - my backpack, boots and extras went into one bin with space to spare. The b and j seats have overhead bins - one for each seat.

Travelled through to cda today. Good drive. Great hotel - AmeriTel - probably on par wit or better than the Duxton in Wellington. Certainly the free wifi is a winner!

So I left iBook unplugged all day and have been using it for last few hours - it's showing 26% charge left and an estimated time of ~1 hour.

My poor kids must be ready to do away with me. I really don't know what got into me yesterday but I certainly was super-grumpy-mum for the afternoon/evening.
Had to write a note of apology on the board before I left for school.
Spacie has her final exam tomorrow. Then Wednesday (nz time) we'll head into town for Guy Fawkes - that will actually be about the time that the American polls will be closing.
Then on our Saturday we go to the polls.

Weather has been strange - I suppose being spring it's literally springing around all over the place.
For the last few days it's been the same. Wet and windy during the night - it's very windy right now with the wind howling around the corners outside - wet mornings - just long enough to cancel outdoor sporting events; then it clears up enough for the kids to all play outside at lunch time; then starts blowing from around 3 as the kids are leaving school.
Tonight is the third in a row I've gone to bed with the wind howling outside.
I suppose as long as it doesn't start howling inside I'm fine.
